An international conference and a research programme to review the past, the present, and the future. The conference, and subsequent research programme, are part of a dynamic, ongoing project focusing on the part the Constitution has played in the social, economic, and political life of the UAE, and will also reflect on its potential contribution for the next half-century.

OVERVIEW of the

international conference

The two-day event in partnership with NYU Abu Dhabi convened speakers and commentators, bringing together scholars, historians, lawyers, and politicians from the UAE and internationally.

 

Taking place on 22nd and 23rd November 2021 at NYU Abu Dhabi, this unique and engaging event was broadcast online but also embraced ongoing post conference publications, research programmes and educational projects in collaboration with Oxford Cyber Academy and UAEU.

At the heart of the programme are the achievements of the United Arab Emirates, their political and economic prosperity and their progress from the origins of the Trucial States to the present day,  celebrating a notable presence on the world stage.

The events included a major international conference and other ongoing research projects that will offer exclusive insights into the UAE’s administrative and business sectors. UAE50 will also deliver educational opportunities including exchange programmes, civic education projects and, with a focus on the next generation of leaders, promote strong cultural and educational relationships between the UK and the UAE.
